Adler Publishing is an independent publishing company based in Castle Rock, Colorado. Formerly known as Swagman Publishing, the company was established by Peter Massey and Jeanne Wilson in 1999.
Adler principally publishes outdoor guide books for Arizona, Colorado, Utah, California, and Nevada. Their books were some of the first to include GPS coordinates in their directions.[citation needed] In 2002, Adler Publishing acquired Outdoor Books and Maps and continues to publish these Colorado fishing, hiking, camping, and biking titles. In 2006, Adler Publishing purchased the business and continues to publish the top 4-Wheel Driving and Outdoor Guidebooks for the western United States.**
